Default Any Bareback Riders?

I spent my youth riding bareback. I loved it! Anyone else out there willing to admit it?

I responded to a post under yours a second ago. I loved the wfeel of the horse when riding bareback. I remember my father, for the sake of decorum, bought me a bareback blanket. I used it once, it slipped once, and so much for that! It was liberating riding bareback . . .and great for your coordination too.

I ride english style but love bareback!

My riding instructor every month or 2 used to make us all ride bareback...it improves your posture, you get a great feel for the horse under you and you really have to use your seat and legs.

I love it!

I love riding bareback. I actually sit gaits better without the saddle. The only problem I have is my pony has a high spine and whithers, so it hurts to ride him sometimes.

I didn't know if anyone would admit it or not! I agree. For me it is the best way to get a real feel for her. I think she likes it a whole lot better too for a quick turn sans saddle. Good job!

Talking love it!!

absolutely love riding bareback!!!!
definately works muscles you arent used to workin when riding saddled though
i have been known to take to trail rides that are several hours long with nothing but a halter and my horse and me
he responds just as well as with a saddle and i only use hackamores on him anyway so a halter is nothin for him...i hope the next horse i buy is as happy and easy with bareback as Jet is!!!!
